2024, Male, Probable Hetari Het Pied Het VPI Axanthic, 118g, 24c201h1153-11-1
I produced this animal from a male sold to me as a Super Hetari (also referred to as “Atari”). Visually, I believe he is consistent with that description. However, I have recently become aware of some controversy surrounding the gene, with claims that some animals sold as “Atari” may actually be Hetari combined with a granite-type gene.
I’m not an expert when it comes to subtle genes and prefer to focus on projects that are fun and produce visually exciting offspring, rather than get involved in the politics of genetics debates. For that reason, while I personally believe the sire is a Super Hetari — as he was sold to me — I am listing the offspring conservatively as “probable Hetari” to avoid any confusion.
Since I don’t have extensive firsthand experience working with this gene yet, animals are priced accordingly. I always prefer customers to end up getting more than they paid for, and keeping clear of the drama makes things easier for everyone.
